Shafted screw conveyors are used in thousands of industrial applications every day for efficiently conveying a variety of bulk materials. A screw conveyor’s main function is to transfer bulk materials from one process to another. Screw conveyors are very cost-effective and require minimal maintenance to operate.
Advantages of Using Screw Conveyors
- Ideal for handling dry to semi-fluid materials
- free-flowing to sluggish
- Cost-effective when compared to other conveying devices such as belt, pneumatic or aero-mechanical conveyors
- Efficiently distributes bulk materials to various locations using multiple inlet and discharge points
- Totally enclosed for corrosive or hazardous requirements
Belzona has options for hard surfacing
The moving of abrasive materials using standard carbon steel or stainless steel components normally results in rapid wear, frequent maintenance, shortened equipment life, and higher overall operating cost. A common method used to combat the negative effects of handling abrasive materials is hard surfacing.
Belzona® 1811 and Belzona® 1812 (Ceramic Carbide) are two-component repair and protective coatings for the protection of surfaces subject to abrasive attack.
Belzona® 1811/1812 (Ceramic Carbide) will:
- Simplify maintenance procedures
- Reduce the need for spare parts
- Protect against abrasion
- Extend equipment life
- Improve safety by reducing hot work
Belzona® 1811/1812 (Ceramic Carbide) can be applied without the need of special tools. These paste grade materials will bond to a wide range of substrates providing a seamless abrasion resistant lining.
Other Belzona products used for hard surfacing
- Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal)
- Belzona® 1311 (Ceramic R-Metal)
- Belzona® 1321 (Ceramic S-Metal)
- Belzona® 1391 (Ceramic HT)
